Eltharin was the son of the wealthy noble line of High Elves that ruled the land of Amathest. His name, translated in the Elven language, means "Courage", and he has proven that name right on countless occasions. He fled from the stifling surroundings of his homeland and family and was shipwrecked on Borthis, near the town of Wallace. There he met his long time travel companion and friend, Gor.
Eltharin is a good-natured elf, despite the hardships and wars of mind and body he has been through. He always enjoys a good laugh even in the face of danger, or one of Gor's poor plans. He claims that he has seen everything there is to see, and there is nothing you could show him that would surprise him. He speaks his elven language fluently, though he has little reason to use it, as he does not live in Amathest any longer. He also knows Common and parts of the dwarven language picked up from Gor, Shugglin and Grimnarr. He is rather short for an elf, rising just inches above the head of Sturm at 6'3". His eyes are of a kind blue, the colour of the sky, and his hair is long and blond, much like many of his people.
Eltharin worships the deities Sarathin and Tyrwnn mainly, though he many be caught praying to another.
He has been through countless battles with, and without his companions, and he has triumphed many times. His skill with a bow is unparalleled, and he has become a legend among the people, along with his companions and friends. His marksmanship is next to none: he has the ability to shoot up to four arrows at once, and the rare innate abilities he possesses allow him to call upon the elements to affect his arrows. His skill with the sword Lenarias "Steel of the Sky" is a force to be reckoned with as well. Despite it being made of purest mithril, he favours his longbow, named Elentias, which means "Swift as Wind", which is engraved with several enchanted runes.
His battle armor consists of a set of elven armor made of the finest steel, engraved with enchanted runes from his travels. His arms are covered near the top with a set of mithril chain, and he wears a fine long-sleeved elven shirt underneath. He sports a matching pair of steel elven bracers and his boots are made of fine elven leather and are plated on the top and below the knees, and he carries a steel kite shield with the regalic symbol of Kadrin, the Hammer, the Bow, and the Axe. He wears this over his back when using his longbow. He wears, and always has worn, an elven necklace that is a symbol of his noble family, and wears a forest green hooded elven cloak which extends down his back and to his heels. He also wears a tattoo of dyed blue on his right cheek, representing his family bloodline.
